Pass Plus Driving Lessons With Henry McMakler

Pass Plus is, in it's most simple terms, is a number of additional driving lessons which are taken after passing your driving test. These lessons are to supply a little bit of experience of motorways along with additional training on some of the types of roads you have already had experience of.

My personal opinion is that it is of value to do a Pass Plus driving course. This is basically because no matter how you may try to learn to drive properly for the right reasons, there will often be, at the back of your mind the fact that 'if I don't do this I won't pass', whereas after passing your driving test any training is more likely to about real life and safe driving for life.

Pass Plus has to be taken in a minimum of 6 hours driving lessons and must only begin after passing the DSA driving test. The sessions, which may be taken in any length of sessions must cover motorway training, dual carriageways, country roads, town driving, night driving and bad weather driving. Only one of the sessions can be taken in 'theory'. So, for example, you cannot have a classroom less on night driving and another one about motorways.

The setting of prices for Pass Plus is down to individual driving instructors. I only charge the same price as normal driving lessons, not adding a premium for the fact that it is slightly more intense training and the fact that a lot of high speed driving is likely to burn additional fuel.
